Job details
Full job description
Vector Systems is hiring a Controls Engineer to join our Dallas team.
About Vector Systems
Vector Systems is a family-owned technology and energy engineering business based in Dallas. Founded in 2019, we run 3 locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and employ a tight team that values doing the work well over scale.
About the role
You'll design, program, and commission the control systems that run industrial equipment. Day to day you'll write and debug PLC logic, configure HMIs and VFDs, design panel layouts and I/O schedules, and commission systems on the plant floor alongside electricians and millwrights. You'll troubleshoot live production issues, tune loops, document your changes, and improve safety interlocks and alarm rationalization as systems evolve.
What you will bring
You bring solid PLC programming experience on platforms like Allen-Bradley or Siemens and the patience to troubleshoot methodically under production pressure. You read electrical drawings fluently, respect lockout procedures without shortcuts, and explain control behaviour clearly to operators and maintenance teams.
